Weekend Report

I hope y'all had a fabulous weekend.  My weekend was spent working on Heartland. I think I'm about half way done with the blocks. I decide to trim the half square triangle blocks as I went rather than trimming them all before finishing up the blocks.

I think I'm ready to take a small break from this to work on something else.  I am enjoying make Heartland but it is becoming a bit monotonous.  So to change things up I'm going to start working on Kansas Trouble Quilters new BOM Bird's Eye View.

I'm making the sample for our shop's Last Saturday BOM.  Soooo....gotta go now.  I'm heading into the shop to start selecting the fabrics.  Stay tuned...

Beautiful quilt - but the 'break' quilt is gorgeous too!

The border on Bird's Eye View is interesting. I look forward to seeing your version.

oooo! Love "Heartland"!! Totally understand about needing a break. I get oversaturated with given quilts, too. That's why I always have a few WIPs at a time instead of just one - so I can rotate amongst them. It's really fun right now because about 7 things are coming up at the finishing stages together. Some are at the longarmer's, and some are being done myself fmq. Exciting!!

I can understand wanting to take a little break from Heartland. It is beautiful, but it is also nice to have a change now and again. Can't wait to see the fabrics you choose for the BOM.
