Let's Begin

I have always considered myself a crafty person. I've tried everything from crocheting to candle making to scrapbooking and everything else in between but none of them ever really stuck. I would tackle each new craft with eagerness and determination but would quickly become bored with what I was doing and feel the need to try something new.

Then twelve years ago quilting "found" me. I am never bored since there's always something new to learn, something new to try, something new to design. The possibilities are endless. There are not enough days, hours, or minutes left in my lifetime to accomplish all the quilts rattling around in my brain (I'm 38 btw).

Over the past 12 years I have made countless numbers of quilts for family, friends, and charities with little visual records of them. In the early years it never occurred to me to keep a record of the quilts I made and my growth as a quilter and that's kinda disappointing.

But today is a new day. And its here (hopefully) I will endeavor to leave a record of my works if for no other reason that to have a place to look back at the things I've done.

To start off this blog I'd like to show one of my recent designs that I did for our local guild's quilt show. They are using it as this year's donation raffle quilt. I designed it using Electric Quilt 6. The wreath was drawn by myself. My favorite thing about this quilt is the "on point" effect. The quilt is actually comprised of straight up and down blocks...no setting triangles.
