and it feels GOOD!
Ok...so after reading all your encouraging comments on my last post, I sucked it up and finished Elizabeth. It's currently at the quilter's and should be back soon. Since finishing it I've been busy making lots of other things. Wanna see?
Okay...this first one is a comfort quilt for a friend who is very ill.
I made a Disappearing Nine Patch with 5" squares in purples, her favorite color. I hope this quilt
brings her a little bit of comfort knowing that there are a lot of people that care about her.
This one is Lost Ships from the book Scrappy Patches, Pinwheels and more! by Kaye England.
I am beginning to think that I have an obsession with half-square triangles because
all the quilts I've selected lately seem to have them.
This little quilt is from 10 Minute Quilt Blocks by Design Originals using 10" squares.
It has to be the fastest quilt I've ever made! Go to You Tube and search for "10 minute quilt blocks"
to see how quickly they're made.
Ok...I've been working on this one on and off for a while. This is one of my favorite blocks to make
because it uses 5" squares. I have seven more blocks to make and them I'm going to
figure out what to do with them.
This next one actually has a twin quilt just like it and they will be going to the newest
"twin" addition to our family...Frederick and Dominic. They are now three weeks old now and
hopefully Grandpa will get them quilted soon so we can get the quilts to them before
the boys graduate from highschool...LOL.
Have you seen the pattern Easy Stripped Table Runner by The Quilt Company? Well you need to
find it and buy it...NOW! I made all three of these tablerunners in less than 30 minutes!
All you need is a border print and a triangle ruler. Everyone I know is getting one of these for Christmas!
And my last finish. This is Side Lights by Mountainpeak Creations. This was really quick
and easy to make. And I think it will be a great pattern for charity quilts.
Well that's all I have for now. I have several projects that I'm working on...for me and for the shop...so I better get to it.
Chat with you later!
