I'm gettin'...

...PICKLED!

What are you up to?

Thursday, May 9, 2013

Hello hello hello...

...how y'all doin'?  I've missed you!

Me?  Well...let's see...for one I'm still alive.  We moved into a new house two weeks ago
I've been busy unpacking boxes.    Before I started unpacking I decided that all my
quilting stuff would be the last to be unpacked so I wouldn't get distracted.

Here is the family room where the longarm will go...at the back of the room right under the skylight!
Behind the machine against the wall will likely be where all my fabric storage will be.

Frank and Jesse have been EXTREMELY helpful as you can see.  Every day they help inspect the packing paper to make sure I haven't missed something.

During all this unpacking I have managed to find some time to help
stimulate the economy.  I consider it my civic duty...snicker.

Some new books, etc...can't wait to do Papa's Pickup

Brights...love the bikes especially

Reproductions...believe it or not but that pink at the bottom is indeed a repro

More stash enhancements...I can't wait to add those Kaffe to the Lollipop Tree quilt

Fabulous backgrounds...probably my favorite finds of recent

New backing fabrics...I couldn't pass them up when they were $5.99 a yard

Lastly...a super funky paisley print for a backing...and I already have a plan for it's from!

Now it hasn't been ALL unpacking and shopping.  During the search for a house I worked on my hexi flowers.  I am now up to 55 flowers and haven't a clue what to do with them yet.  I figure I'll just keep going till an idea comes to me.

I've also started working on my pineapple quilt again.  The original plan was to do 72 blocks.  Currently I have enough cut for 48.  For now I'll see how these 48 go
and then decide whether or not to do rest.

And I  haven't forgotten that I still owe y'all a tutorial on paper piecing from the printed side.

Well I better get.  Unfortunately the boxes won't unpack themselves.
While I'm busy putting my house in order, I'd love to hear what you've been up to.

Till next time...
