One Completed and One to Finish

Whew!  Where did this week go?

This afternoon I finished the quilting and binding on "An Embroiderer's Blessing."  My fingertips are TIRED.  I am really happy with how it turned out.  It still needs quilting in the center but that'll have to wait till after my class.

I am about halfway done with the new diamond quilt...no pictures yet.  In addition to working on the diamond quilt, I have been participating this weekend in Pat Sloan's Camp Sloanie Stashbuster weekend.  So far I have 80 blocks done for a new quilt using one Glace jelly roll and some background fabric.  It should be completed in a couple hours...just have to get the blocks together now.  Here's a little of what it looks like.

Excuse the coloring. The lighting wasn't very good when I took the picture. The background is a yellow beige, not yellow.

Hi Monica, Just love your work. Beautiful. What embroidery floss do you use?

Thank you Linda. I like to use just regular old DMC floss. However...for this project I tried out Presencia floss. It's nice floss also...but 75 cents per skein compared to DMC's 37 cents. I'll stick with DMC. It's cheaper and easier to find.
