I'm still here...I promise

Life has been absolutely crazy lately.  While I know I've been things accomplished it sure doesn't feel like it.  I have several projects I'm working on that aren't ready for sharing.  But in the meantime here are a few finishes.

A postcard for the Great Big Stitched Postcard Swap II
...the theme was "home" so I immediately thought of "Home is where the heart is."

Next...if you signed up for the Secret Santa Christmas Swap and you think I might have your name, now's the time to stop reading and click the little red "X".  I don't want to ruin the surprise for you.

So now that that's settled, let's back to business.  These runners are for Charming Guys & Girls Secret Santa Christmas Swap.  Why is there three runners you ask?  Well...long story short...my friend Donna signed up to do the swap too and both of us being short on time these days, I told her I would piece both our gifts if she would quilt them.  I piece faster and she quilts faster so it was a win-win!

So yesterday for our two gift recipients I made each gal a Christmas runner (seen in red and green) and an all year around runner (third picture).

Let me tell you something.  This was a tough swap because both of us had a hard time figuring out what the ladies receiving our gifts might like.  Both gals were newer bloggers so their blogs didn't give us a lot to go on.

Well I gotta get back at it.

Happy quilting y'all!

What a great postcard!

I like the idea of piecing and having someone else quilt. Brilliant!

Doing the piecing and having someone else quilt is the best way to go. A friend calls it quilting-by-wallet but I have made a deal with DD#1-I gave her a Phaff grandquilter and a frame then she does all my quilting and I do all the binding. Works perfectly!

Love the postcard, letters seem to be all the rage lately. Your table runners are really pretty also. Hope to see more of your projects in the new year. Maybe I'll even get those fabrics I won from you sewn into bags next year. Wishing you a joyous New Year!!
