The Crocket quilt (and other stuff)

Lots has been going around here lately.  I'm trying to work on several projects at the moment (boy I miss the days of working one quilt at a time).  One of these days I'll learn to not stretch myself so thin....NOT!

Late last week I made this bookmark for my friend Donna.  She is involved in Eastern Star and was being appointed to some new title and needed a bookmark for their bible.  So she asked me if I would make it for her.

It measures approximately 3 1/2" x 14".  I used a charm pack, cutting out 1 1/2" diamonds.  Working with those little diamonds was so much fun, I'm thinking about doing a small doll quilt using them.

Here is a picture of another diamond quilt.  For this one, I used 2" strips.  I wanted to scale it down a bit for a children's charity quilt.  All that's left to do now is finish cutting the setting triangles and the borders.  I hope to get back to this one on Wednesday and complete it.

Here are my Oz pinwheel hexagons.  Months ago I started these to make a quilt for myself.  I got a few blocks done and then set them aside.  Then last week I found out my hair stylist is having her first baby and knew this quilt should go to her.  She is super funky and fun and the Oz fabric line is a perfect fit for her.  Again all I need to do now is cut the setting triangles and borders and finish it up.  Then that same friend Donna (who also goes to the same stylist) will quilt it.  Stay tuned.

Lastly, I have my second block done for the Crocket quilt.  I wish I had a picture of the first one...must get down to the shop to photograph it.  These blocks are really easy to make but extremely time consuming.  I hope to get at half the blocks done by the end of the weekend but more likely it'll be half that.

I hope you faithful few followers are having a wonderful day!

P.S.  My one year anniversary is coming up...stay tuned for a giveaway.  With only 16 of you, I'd say your odds of winning are pretty good if you sign up...lol.
