Last month, on a whim I signed up for the Modern She Made Swap on Flickr. They were just about to get started with Round 2 and I thought "What the heck! Why not?" I hadn't done a swap in a long while and this seemed like a good one to get back in.
After stalking my partner's Flickr page and mulling over several ideas, this is what I came up with.
This is the picture I posted on the group's page to get feeback.
Pieced and ready for quilting.
And here we are midday on Day 2.
The quilting is almost complete and then I'll turn it into a pillow cover. First, I have to figure out what I want to quilt in the corners. I know I don't want more lines...hmm.
I'll be back in a day or two to show you the finished pillow...fingers crossed.
I hope everyone has a fabulous Saturday!

I love it! Yes, I have made something and wished I could keep it. LOL But I didn't! ;-) Where did you find the pattern?
Have a happy weekend!
wow!this is awesome.
Oh, love this pattern!
What a great swap gift! Just beautiful!
I'd be tempted to keep it myself. This is gorgeous!!
But falling in love with our projects and then being willing to let them go--that's a sign of our generous quilter's spirit.
Really beautiful !
This is one of the most amazing pieces I have ever seen. I would love it as a wall hanging.
Awesome, Monica! Totally awesome!!!
I'd want to keep it too!
I like the curved calla Lilly shape you did in the triangles, maybe you could modify it for the "corners."
Beautiful job, I can understand how you are finding hard to part with.
super lovely!
I agree with everyone and think your project is wonderful! Maybe you just need to make another for yourself.
Lovely! Even the back is stunning! I've pinned it to my "Quilty Goodness" board on Pinterest (with proper credit, of course!). Feel free to follow me if you'd like: http://pinterest.com/lipglass/quilty-goodness/
