...because it's too darn hot!
I hope y'all are staying cool wherever you are. Here it's been in the 100's with a forecast of high 100's. And we were lucky enough to have our A/C die last night. A repairman is supposed to be here today between 1:00 and 5:00. I'm kinda hoping he shows up a little earlier.
Anyway...as the post title says, there's not much going on here. I spent the weekend tidying up and reorganizing my quilting room. All I think I did though was just rearrange the piles. I did manage to go through some more UFO's and toss a few of them into a box to donate. I tried working on them but I just wasn't into them. I'm hoping someone in the guild will want to finish them either for themself or just as a charity project.
While cleaning up I came across these embroideries that I did a couple of years ago.
I absolutely LOVE them but I still haven't figured out what to do with them. What would you do with them? The only thing I can think of is using them in a Triple Irish Chain.

Oh, those are adorable. A triple irish chain would be very cute.
I see your temperature forecast is just like ours - 100's with 100's coming.
Our a/c died on July 4th - ugh! The a/c guy did a patch job and the part finally arrived last week so he was able to repair it on Thursday. I hope your a/c guy comes very, very soon.
How cute are those!!! I think an irish chain would be a great one.
Ugh! So far our summer has been mild but we don't usually get that kind of heat until late August, early September. I don't look forward to that.
Those are adorable stitcheries. Sounds like you already have the best idea for them.
Hopefully your A/C will be fixed quickly. I know I wouldn't want to be without ours this time of year with the highs in the 100's.
Oh they are so sweet. Yes, we went back to very hot and muggy.
I totally agree with you about the heat. I'm all used up. Our peaches are ripening early because of the heat so there isn't going to be a whole lot of quilting around here for a while. The embroidered pieces are really cute. You could use them in a large nine patch for a baby quilt.
Lindos bordados, gostaria de ter coragem de fazê-los.Beijo.
They would be so very, very sweet in an Irish Chain!
I'd finish each one individually and then hang them side by side or maybe put three in a runner and finish two individually.Adorable.
You don't say how large the embroideries are but they would be adorable for a child's quilt.
Just Adorable! Love them! DO you happen to know the name of the pattern? Triple Irish Chain sound great !
