I just don't know...

...about this quilt and how its turning out?  I don't know if the cream is too light or the dark brown is too dark...or if it's the orange border.

I am going to keep plugging away on it and see what happens.  I have at my disposal the same border print but in teal, green, and brown.  I definately think the orange isn't right for this quilt.

Maybe it's just me but what do you think?

Its the orange. ;-) And I like orange~ but it doesn't seem to fit. Happy stitching!

I'm thinking the brown border Maybe tone down the dark brown in your piecing.

I am loving the orange and the dark brown and the cream! I think all the colors blend well together.

I like orange, but not for this. I think the brown would tone down the cream.

I've made quilts...and had some of your same thoughts with this quilt. Things can really change when you start the quilting. The really "stand-outs"...especially light, seemingly empty spaces...tend to blend in a lot better with colored threads. Just meee old $0.02

Actually I quite like your quilt, maybe because the orange is the zinger in your quilt, that the orange in the border is too much.
Maybe the grey or brown floral you already have in the quilt would look great if you have enough left over as the border.

Love the quilt and the orange border but not together!

No orange border....I think a dark brown border would make the other colors pop out more in the piecing. Just me, but I love to "frame" my quilts in dark borders.

Not the orange...boring. However...can we see the teal before I tell you brown?

Just my humble opinion but the orange seems a bit too strong , if it was closer to the rust color in the blocks it would perhaps be better but the quilt is lovely.

I'm loving E-V-E-R-Y-T-H-I-N-G about the fabrics and colors and potential borders, just the way you have it!! Looks perfect to me. I can send you my address if you need to get rid of it. :)
